Good pitch

I liked your pitch, it gave me an idea what you were going for, and I probably liked it more because of it.

The bad: There are some odd notes here and there, and sometimes maybe timing issues? I also felt it didn't really stand out, so much as blended in with nostalgia.

The good: It hit that nostalgia hammer but hard. Great job. It has a sense of performance too and didn't feel overly machine like.

I agree its not perfect, sometimes a tune just isnt 'magical' and sometimes it is.
I dont mind here and there making a 'decent' tune anyway, if all tunes had to be special then what would special be, right?

I thought samples weren't allowed?

I dig the idea you were going for, but I would like to have heard something from scratch, so that people don't have to worry about a sync license.

But, aside from that, I felt it had some chord transition issues and repetition. That said, it was pretty groovy all things considered, especially during the more chilled parts.
